The Roads to Pellston are Open ~ Visit Pellston!

Although trucks are detoured, local visitors and shoppers are welcome to use the “Local Traffic” county roads to get to Antiques Art & Collectibles and on to Mackinaw City. The road is closed north of the airport, about 2 miles north of Downtown Pellston. MDOT has rerouted all traffic around Pellston, but the roads are open and those going to Mackinaw can stop in Pellston then either take county road C64 to Highway 75, or take the scenic Pleasant View Bypass. The map is at the bottom of this page.

The Pleasant View Bypass from Petoskey is to take US 31 North to Pellston, left to Robinson Road into the sunset over the hill and through the forest, then right on Pleasant View at Jurek’s meat store, then go right on Levering to head East to Levering and back to US 31 North. The road is open from Levering to Mackinaw.

Take the Pleasant View Bypass… it really is quite pleasant! From Mackinaw City, follow Local Traffic signs to Levering, turn West on Levering Road, and the South on Pleasant View Road to to where it ends at Robinson Road. Then East on Robinson Road over the hill to Pellston. Enjoy the views! Check the map below.

Come visit Downtown Pellston and Antiques Art & Collectibles! Pellston is a uniquely peaceful northern village near the top of Northern Lower Michigan. The Maple River is flowing golden red with tannins, and the river trail is looking great with excellent fishing. The bike trails are quieter than ever since the trucks are being detoured. Take a stroll from the antiques store to the Memorial, then over to the river and around the bend and back. Ride a bike down to the bridge by the forest, or up to the airport for change of pace. Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the Small Town Grill, and meals almost any time at Hoppies Landing up at the Airport. Load up on provisions from the General Store or Family Dollar. Enjoy a fancy meal at the Maple River Pub, Nancy Kelly’s, Hidden River, The Dam Site Inn or Douglas Lake Bar. The Antiques Art & Collectibles store is packed with fresh merchandise added over the winter. Now is the perfect time to decorate your life, add a memento of a memory, buy gifts, enjoy the boutique, or stop and browse.

The Bargain Attic opens for the summer starting May 13th for Mother’s Day weekend! Don’t miss the early selection!

Enjoy Pellston, and support Antiques Art & Collectibles and other US 31 Local Traffic businesses during the road construction!

Also a reminder: The Pellston SummerFest in Memorial Park is June 10th and 11th. Fabulous music, craft show, food and more! See PellstonEvents on Facebook..

“Local Traffic” is for shoppers and adventurers!

It really is quite pleasent!
